Jianzhong Fang Conducts In-Depth Visits to Member Enterprises to Foster Development

On May 8, 2025, Fang Jianzhong, Chairman of the Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), led a team to visit some foreign trade enterprises of committee members, to show concern for CPPCC members, listen to the voices of enterprises, and conduct research on the work of business environment monitoring points. Zhou Qing, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC, and Mao Xianming, Secretary-General, participated in the visit.

Fang Jianzhong and his team visited Zhejiang Crystal Glass Technology Co., Ltd., where they inspected the company's production workshop and product showroom, and gained a detailed understanding of the company's production capacity, technology research and development, and market layout. In light of the current intensifying trade friction between China and the United States, Fang Jianzhong focused on listening to the progress of the enterprises in dealing with tariff barriers, adjusting supply chains, and transforming market strategies. He had in-depth discussions with CPPCC members and enterprise leaders on key measures to stabilize production and increase efficiency.

Fang Jianzhong expressed his gratitude to the committee member enterprises for their contributions to the city's economic and social construction, and praised their spirited and resilient attitudes. "Enterprises and the nation are a community of shared destiny. The more pressure we face, the more we need to demonstrate our development resilience. Only through government-enterprise collaboration can we break through and win," Fang Jianzhong encouraged enterprises to stay confident in their development, closely monitor the incremental policies for stabilizing foreign trade, focus on niche areas, and steadily advance through a combination of measures such as promoting exports to domestic sales, expanding diversified markets, integrating online and offline marketing platforms, and creating new consumption trends. These efforts will stimulate vitality, enhance resilience, and ensure steady progress in the fierce market competition. Fang Jianzhong also exchanged views with CPPCC members and enterprises on the upcoming implementation of business environment monitoring points.

To further promote the "Enterprise Call, We Respond" initiative and leverage the democratic supervision role of the CPPCC, the CPPCC office and the city's business environment office will jointly establish business environment monitoring points, open a "Enterprise Call, We Respond" committee member channel, and form an expert committee member service team. Fang Jianzhong pointed out that CPPCC members are distributed across various industries, and especially entrepreneur members have many advantages in connecting with people from different sectors and serving enterprises. He hopes that members will fully utilize their industry linkages, promote and make good use of this new consultation channel, focus on the effectiveness of policy implementation, bottlenecks in factor guarantees, and the quality of government services, and promptly collect and report issues and suggestions. Through the "Enterprise Call, We Respond" platform committee member channel, proposal handling, special democratic supervision, and social sentiment information, they can help enterprises and industries solve urgent and difficult problems, and promote the "Enterprise Call, We Respond" mechanism from "efficient handling" to "value-added empowerment." This will inject new CPPCC momentum into the continuous optimization and improvement of the city's business environment.
